DREAMSCAPE ITINERARY

by John Weagly

My father died of a brain tumor. And my grandfather and my uncle. When each of them turned thirty, they slipped into comas and passed away. See, there's a hormone called Noradrenaline. It affects an area of the brain stem called the Pontine Tegmentum. All the men in my family have brain stems that produce too much of this hormone. And too much of this hormone kills them off at an early age.
I hope this makes sense. My eyes keep closing. I'm too tired to think clearly. I want to write this down, ignoring the fatigue that has buried itself deep within my bones. I want to try and explain what's happening.
This hereditary curse is the reason I see death.
